Is Limescale Harmful?

Scale buildup: Limescale can accumulate in pipes, reducing water flow and potentially leading to clogs. Damage to appliances: It can cause damage to water heaters, kettles, washing machines, and other appliances, reducing their efficiency and lifespan. Reduced water flow: Limescale buildup can restrict water flow in pipes and appliances, requiring more energy to heat water.

IS IT EASY TO INSTALL?

Yes, install it on the outside of the pipe and plug it in – no plumbing modifications or maintenance required.

IS HYDROFLOW® COVERED BY A WARRANTY?

Yes, residential units include a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty. Commercial and industrial units are available with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty with an option to upgrade the warranty up to 5-years, but many last over 15 years.

DOES HYDROFLOW® REQUIRE ELECTRICITY?

Yes, it operates on standard 120 V. power, using minimal energy (around $5.50 per year for residential units).

WHERE DOES THE DISSOLVED SCALE GO?

Dissolved limescale is flushed or filtered out of the system. In some cases, it settles as a fine powder at the bottom of tanks or basins, which can be periodically cleaned. HOW DO I SEE RESULTS? Results depend on water hardness and system condition. Existing scale gradually dissolves over weeks or months, while new scale formation is immediately reduced.

IS THE WATER STILL SAFE TO DRINK?

Yes, HydroFLOW® does not change water chemistry, keeping it safe and mineral-rich.

Industrial Applications

1. Range: The Industrial I-Range is designed for Limescale protection and improved Water Quality for Industrial Environments. The i Range is for more challenging applications in industrial environments, which may suffer from a range of water treatment issues, and require limescale protection, flocculation and biofouling control.
2. Key Features: The Industrial Range is powerful and it features an integrated power supply, is fully waterproofed, and is designed for ease of connection to mains power and building management systems.

Commercial Applications

1. C-Range: The Commercial C-Range is designed for limescale protection for heating, ventilation and plumbing services in offices, schools, hotels, hospitals and other commercial buildings. These types of building can suffer from the effects of hard limescale build up on their boilers and on their heating and cooling equipment. This build up can not only reduce their overall efficiency, but can lead to expensive and time consuming maintenance or indeed to premature equipment failure.
2. Key Features: The applied signal can travel throughout the system including the cold services as well as the hot services, meaning that other equipment is similarly protected and deposits on sinks, taps etc. are easier to clean. The C Range is designed to offer a chemical-free alternative in addressing the effects of new and existing hard limescale encrustation on commercial boilers, heat exchangers and cooling systems. Standard units are available up to 200 mm (7.87 inches) in diameter.
3. Installation Guidelines: HydroFLOW is best installed before the point of heat exchange or pressure change and on the outlet side of any pumps. HydroFLOW is not flow dependent: the choice of a model is determined by pipework’s outside diameter. The C80 (pictured on right) has as an example maximum pipe size is 100 MM ( 3.94 inches).If pipework throughout the building is all new, you do not require extra unit(s) on the hot water secondary return pipe(s) to the hot water heater(s). However, if the pipework is old (ie on a retro-fit job) we also recommend you fit extra unit(s) on the hot water secondary return pipe(s) to the hot water heater(s).

HydroFLOW – Patented Technology

1. How it works: HydroFLOW emits a robust electric field that causes mineral ions to form clusters, preventing them from adhering to surfaces. This electric field also disrupts biofilm formation, improving overall water quality. The Signal causes ions to form into clusters, which grow in size and form a super saturated solution. The clusters finally precipitate out of water as solid crystals, which are then flushed out of piping.
2. Pros: No salt or chemicals required, making it environmentally friendly and only minimal maintenance required. Easy to install on existing plumbing systems. It’s a compact system for small spaces. It prevents limescale and reduces biofouling. The Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is less than 30% of a Traditional Water Softener over a 10 Year lifespan.
3. Cons: HydroFLOW Protection at Work clusters solid crystals No Protection Effectiveness can vary depending on water conditions. It works best on water containing 100 parts per million (PPM) of Hardness or more.
